Vellum becomes an opaque white when it's dry embossed. I used this unique quality on the card for this post. And, I got a bit carried away. That's why there are 2 more samples in the posts below.
Stamp the vellum with a Whisper White Craft pad or StazOn pad and let it dry. Turn the piece over onto a cushioned surface like the foam mat in the Stampin' Up! Mat Pack.
Rub with waxed paper to help the stylus glide and trace the image with the small end. Press lightly at first and retrace if needed, but be careful not to puncture the vellum. The vellum will become distorted if the design has a lot of detail or if you press too deeply.
Colour with markers on the wrong side. The vellum will decrease the intensity of the colour so choose a darker hue or go over the colour a second time.
The little flower is punched from vellum and shaped over a bone folder.
The adhesive is hidden under the framed mat.
